PULSE vol. 11

LeeAnn Cline • January 3, 2022

wow, my friends. i can't believe this is the 11th (how did i miss a month somewhere?! it had to be june & baseball season. haha) volume of my little project: THE PULSE. thank you for being on this journey with me; i've had the best time! my role at MHF has grown & now work in the Showroom 2 days a week! i can't wait to meet you all!

so, i know we all feel this way, but can you believe that christmas is this week? EEEEE. my boys (13 & 11) wanted Jordan 1's, "cool sneaker storage," a ukulele, HOODIES, and tons of sports stuff. but im feeling ready! feeling good...and this email is putting me in a festive spirit. in this volume of THE PULSE, we are doing all things christmas! starting, OF COURSE, with a christmas playlist, new christmas recipes, YEAR END CLEARANCE EVENT, and more!

take a wild guess what is on this playlist! (ha!) you're right, it's full of all my favorite christmas songs. i only listen to the songs i grew up with that my mom played. so this is Raffi, Harry Connick Jr., Patti Labelle & more. classics like alvin & the chipmunks meet the suite from the Polar Express. my top 5 christmas songs are:

1. Petit Papa Noel - Raffi
2. When my Heart Finds Christmas - Harry Connick Jr.
3. Mistletoe - Justin Bieber
4. What Child is This - The Judds
5. River - Sam Smith

Q. how/why did you decide to be a business owner?

I didn't wake up one day with an epiphany that I wanted to own a business. I worked as a manager for MHF for 10 years, and came to really enjoy the industry.  The opportunity to buy presented itself and I walked through the open door. The rest, as they say, is history.

 Q. what is unique about MHF?

MHF is a small, family owned company that is constantly bringing in new looks and styles. Since we sell off the floor, we are revamping our look sometimes daily. Many customers are exploring the showroom a couple times a month, if not more. It's great to see the familiar faces.

Q. book suggestion?

I often read to unwind; I would endorse most titles by David Baldacci as apropos.

 Q. a cherished christmas tradition?

Mom would always put one or two small wrapped gifts by our plate at the Christmas meal. They were just as fun to open as those under the tree.

HOLIDAY  THIS  OR  THAT

EGG NOG OR HOT CHOCOLATE ∙ GINGERBREAD COOKIES OR SUGAR COOKIES ∙ REAL TREE or FAKE TREE ∙ ICE SKATING OR SLEDDING COZY NIGHTS IN or FUN NIGHTS OUT ∙ WHITE LIGHTS or COLORED LIGHTS ∙ MAKE A SNOWMAN or HAVE A SNOWBALL FIGHT

CLOSING REMARKS FOR OUR READERS?

Christmas moments become memories...make them special!

WHATTTTTTTT. we have these ottos ^^ in the showroom right now, & i literally want to buy all every. single. color. they are stylish, functional, durable....and totally affordable. coming in at only $249 they are STORAGE & ideal for any room in your home. they include lid supports/hingers & plastic gliders on all legs to prevent scratching.

im never brave enough to try new MAIN DISH recipes for holiday get togethers. honestly, im more of the "i'll bring the snacky bites" kind of person. ergo, here are some delicious, tried & true, bites!

(where juniper used to be) it’s beautiful, they left the old wood bar, and the pizza oven. we tried the burrata app (yum!) and i ordered the grande meatball! haha! yep there’s a huge meatball in there! it was great, and i can’t wait to try some of the pizzas!
