PULSE vol. 12

LeeAnn Cline • March 2, 2022

without sounding TOO cliche, how is everyone's year starting? are you feeling refreshed & setting new goals? for me, my year reset feels like it starts with the boys' school year NOT at the actual new year. things coming up on my radar...a trip to PORTUGAL in march! to say i'm excited would be a massive understatement. if anyone has been to LISBON or PORTO i would LOVE to hear from you!!!

message me here with any tips, ideas, suggestions!

the showroom is bursting every day with new products. &&& even more exciting is that eric is at the las vegas world furniture market AS I AM TYPING THIS in search of the latest and greatest new collections.

in this first volume of 2022, we are covering pantone color of the year, some interior trends we expect to see, my top 5 current accent chairs (that we sell!) and more!

i gather inspiration from about 1.4 million places every day, but realistically, Kate Spade is (was?) a huge inspiration for me. from the bright colors she chose, to her brand's aesthetic. one of my favorite quotes from her was "make a new playlist. title suggestion: JOY."

so when she passed, that is exactly what i did. so, to start off 2022 - you guys get a glimpse into my JOY list.

it's a collection of my favorite songs from bands ranging from Andrew McMahon & Coldplay to Justin Bieber & The Beatles.

                                           find joy here.

over the last year, i've talked about a lot of things i love: charcuterie boards, a good cocktail, etc.
but one of my interior design obsessions is

A C C E N T  C H A I R S
a good one. a solid chair. a chair that when you look at it...it catches you off guard and catches your attention. here are my top 5 chairs that are available at MHF!

K A H L O
the kahlo is a rad blend of MCM meets timeless gingham. the gold metal frame is topped with little wooden armrests. I love the classy finishing touch they give off!

C R O S S H A V E N
is there such a thing as a plush crash pad? well. yes, there is. it's this ultimate statement chair. okay, now i realize this is the 2nd chair with a gold frame! (must be drawn to it) but i seriously would use this is any room of the house.
living room, kid's gaming room, bedroom corner. loving it.

G L O R I A N N
crushed velvet. need i say more? oh, let me add clear acrylic legs that are SO IN STYLE right now. the contrast is cool, timeless, and unique. comfort meets fashion with this effortless beaut.

H A N G A R
today's lifestyle is pretty casual...and we love this update on a familiar chair profile. this swivel is utterly on-trend in a bold rust/orange cover. ps. did i mention, it swivels ;)

S T E W A R D
i envision sitting in this with my cat for hours. haha! it's generously sized and you guys, it SWIVELS! how fun is that! the woven texture will have you slung back in style.

HUNSTMAN'S DINNER

alright guys, admittedly, The Lively has been on my list to check out, but i haven't been in yet. i watch their events tab closely because they currate some amazing menus paired with wine. the upcoming event is a 5 course meal with wine pairing. here's a preview of the menu:

3. ROASTED SQUAB |

Amaranth Seed, Crostini Neri, Salsa Verde

2019 Arterberry Maresh Old Vines Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, OR

welcome to the pulse! how is everyone? welcome to this month’s volume of the pulse, your go-to roundup of everything in the world of furniture, design, local boise tidbits & more. from new arrivals, to recipes to fonts - you’ll find it all here! i wanted to send a thought of gratitude for opening & loving my monthly blog. i know inboxes are overflowing these days & i truly appreciate you making space for the pulse in yours. let's talk about that pasta image in the header! alright, you all know how much i loved juniper & shared that they were closing a few volumes back. well, i finally got the courage to try the newest concept from STLG: rustica . (where juniper used to be) it’s beautiful, they left the old wood bar, and the pizza oven. we tried the burrata app (yum!) and i ordered the grande meatball! haha! yep there’s a huge meatball in there! it was great, and i can’t wait to try some of the pizzas!
